Look, what I found in my mailbox this last Saturday! Aren't they beautiful? Dymphie made these super fun little books for us guest blogger of the DIOL-blog as a 'Thank You'. Beautiful stitching

It has been super fun to search for great tutorials and beautiful websites and blogs...I mean, so much creativity to learn from! I advice everyone to plan their daily dose of a great links search ;-) Although I have to say, it is quite time consuming, well you have to get lost on those beautiful websites when you're there, right?! And your todo-list will be even longer...but that isn't much of a punishment, is it?! ;-)

Respect for sure fot Dymphie and her team, the normal crew of link-searchers who put all there time and energie into it to give us our daily dose of cute, nice, beautiful and fun !

Hand marbled papers

Kijk nou wat er in mijn brievenbus viel afgelopen zaterdag! Zijn ze niet prachtig? Dymphie maakte deze superleuke boekjes voor ons gastbloggers van het DIOL-blog als bedankje. Nou ik moet eerlijk zeggen...Dymphie, jij en je team bedankt voor dat ik mee mocht doen! Ok, mee mag doen, want jullie zien mij daar morgen en vrijdag nog even verschijnen :-)

Het was superleuk om te mogen zoeken naar leuke tutorials en mooie websites en blogs...ik bedoel, zoveel creativiteit om weer van te leren! Ik raad iedereen aan om zn dagelijkse dosis leuke linken zoeken in te plannen ;-) Al moet ik wel zeggen dat het ook wel veel tijd kost hoor, want ja je blijft natuurlijk plakken om al die mooie blogs...én je todo-lijstje wordt er ook zo lang van...maar echt een straf is het niet hè?!

Respect dat absoluut voor Dymphie en haar team...de vaste linkenzoekers die er toch al hun tijd en energie insteken om ons allen weer dagelijks te voorzien van een gezonde dosis lief, leuk, gezellig, grappig en mooi!

Besides surfing the www for some great links (see previous post), I have been busy with doing some tutorial video's. So since just a few days now, you can also find me on YouTube :-D. The video above is the last video I did, but there will be more to come for sure!

Naast het www afzoeken naar leuke links (zie vorig bericht), ben ik ook bezig geweest met het maken van enkele tutorial video's. Zooo...sinds een aantal dagen ben ik zowaar ook actief te vinden op YouTube :-D. De video hierboven is mijn meest huidige video, maar er komt zeker meer!

Tsja het is inderdaad weer even een tijdje geleden hè? Drukdrukdruk, zoals gewoonlijk. Zelfs nu geen tijd voor een bericht per kaart, dus daarom gewoon maar even zo: een slideshow van mijn laatste creaties, veel plezier!

Something new, looking old

Back from my holiday, all energized and creative again :-) So for today something new I made just yesterday.

Terug van mijn vakantie, vol energie en creativiteit, fijn :-) Zo vandaag iets nieuws, wat ik gisteren maakte.

Sending out some cute ribbons I wanted to create a nice package for it. So I came up with this, isn't that fun?

Tijdens het klaarmaken van een pakketje, zocht ik een manier om een paar leuke lintjes mooi in te pakken. Ik kwam toen op dit idee, leuk hè?!

I made this vintage looking spool/bobbin from some lightweight corrugated cardboard I had in my growing pile of ex-trash stash...

Dit vintage-achtige klosje heb ik gemaakt van een lichtgewicht ribbelkarton dat ik vond in mijn groeiende berg met ex-afval...

Using a starting idea and some coins I finally came up with this template which I used to trace around.

Uitgaande van een startidee en een paar munten, kwam ik uiteindelijk op deze template die ik gebruikte voor het overtrekken.

I then cut out the spool/bobbin and inked the edges with some Distress Ink Vintage Photo to make it look aged. Also used a little stamp with some buttons and thread I got as a welcoming gift on the Art Specially fair this year. I masked of the 'handmade by' with a post-it while inking, removing it before stamping, works really great and is very easy!

Hierna heb ik het klosje uitgeknipt en de randjes beïnkt met wat Distress Inkt Vintage Photo om het ouder te laten lijken. Ook gebruikte ik deze kleine stempel die ik kreeg bij de Art Specially beurs dit jaar. Ik heb het 'handmade by' gemaskerd met een post-it tijdens het beïnkten en haalde deze er voor het stempelen weer af, werkt prima en is lekker makkelijk!

After drying the ink with my heat tool I started winding up the ribbons, taping the ends to the back. Well, except for the top one, which I pinned down with a nice shaped pin.

Gedroogd met mijn heat tool en daarna druk in de weer met lintjes er omheen wikkelen, waarvan ik de eindjes achterop met wat plakband vastzette. Behalve die van de bovenste dan, die prikte ik vast met een leuke speld.

After liking the result so much, I made a final template cutting it out of some sturdy plastic, which was an old cover of a notebook I had laying around in my stash also ;-)

Toen ik helemaal blij was met het resultaat, besloot ik een definitieve template te maken, dus knipte ik het uit een stukje stevig plastic dat ooit een kaft van een notitieboekje was, ja ook uit diezelfde berg ;-)

"Somewhere in England"

So...finally some news from me again. Not a "writer's block" but a "blogging block"? However, just needed some time off from blogging I guess. Have been creative though, soon I'll show you all about it, but for now just on holiday....taking long, nice walks in open air, that really makes me feel good every time :-)

Zo...eindelijk weer eens een berichtje van mij...geen "writer's block" maar een "blogging block"? Hoe dan ook, ik was gewoon even toe aan een blog-pauze denk ik. Ik ben wel creatief geweest hoor, binnenkort zal ik daar alles van laten zien, maar nu ben ik gewoon nog even lekker op vakantie...lekker wandelen in de buitenlucht, dat doet me altijd goed :-)

And just had to share some great news too :-) For a while now, I follow the YouTube- channel of Leanne from Canada. She has some great tips on handmade scrapping tools and she makes GORGEOUS flowers. For us she made some great tutorials about it.
This month I participated in a give away on her channel and a few days ago I found out I was the winner, how cool is that! Feels like it's my birthday all over again :-D
Oh, she now also owns a blog where she shows her creations and all that you should definitely check out too!!!

En wil ik gelijk wat leuk nieuws met jullie delen :-) Al voor een tijdje volg ik het YouTube-kanaal van Leanne uit Canada. Zij heeft echt geweldige tips voor het maken van handgemaakte "scrapping-tools" en ze maakt echt SUPERMOOIE bloemen. Voor ons maakte ze hierover handige en duidelijke tutorials.
Deze maand deed ik mee aan een "give away" van haar en een paar dagen geleden kwam ik erachter dat ik de winnaar was, is dat niet gaaf?! Voelt bijna weer als mn verjaardag :-D
Oh, ze heeft nu trouwens sinds een tijdje ook een eigen blog waar ze haar creaties toont, hier moeten jullie ook zeker even een kijkje nemen!!!

A Wedding Card

First of all: thank you so much for your lovely comments on my last set of cards, I really had so much fun reading those...made me blush, you've been so kind!

Allereerst: heel erg dank voor jullie lieve reacties op mijn laatste kaartensetje, ik had echt plezier in het lezen ervan....moest er zowaar van blozen, jullie zijn echt zo aardig geweest!

Last week I made this wedding card. Used some crème and soft green colored patterned papers, this cute Magnolia couple that I once received in a swap and of course some cute embellishments.

Afgelopen week dit trouwkaartje gemaakt. Een paar mooie crème en zachtgroen gekleurde papiertjes, dit leuke Magnolia stelletje dat ik een keertje in een ruil heb ontvangen en natuurlijk nog wat leuke extraatjes om de kaart af te maken.

I really enjoyed making this card and I was very pleased with the end result, very soft but also elegant in my opinion....but of course I am curious...what do you think of it?

Erg veel plezier gehad in het maken van dit kaartje en ook nog eens blij met het eindresultaat, een mooi zacht, maar elegant kaartje naar mijn idee....maarruh...natuurlijk ben ik erg benieuwd naar wat jullie er van vinden!

Another sets of cards for the 'Relay for Life'. Used some bright colors of matching patterned papers, inks and ribbon. Makes just the cutest little set, don't you think?

Nog een setje met kaarten voor de 'Samenloop voor Hoop'. Ik gebruikte lekkere felle kleuren , alles mooi bij elkaar passend. Het is zo'n leuk setje geworden, vinden jullie ook niet?

Today I wanted to show you one of my first real books I made...

My father is doing a Minor about religion and spiritualism and he needed a gift for his fellow students. He asked me to make something and this is the result.

Vandaag wilde ik jullie graag één van mijn eerste echte boekjes laten zien...Mijn vader volgt een minor over religie en spiritualiteit en had een kadootje nodig voor zijn medestudenten. Hij vroeg mij om iets te maken en dit is het resultaat.

The first time I tried a coptic bind, very fun, but a lot of work hahaha...!

De eerste keer dat ik een koptische binding probeerde, erg leuk, maar wel een boel werk hoor hahaha....!

First of all, thank you so much for your sweet comments on my previous post and welcome to my new followers, I hope you'll enjoy visiting my blog!

I saw this video and got inspired to make another set of mini cards for the "SamenLoop voor Hoop" using some cute flower stamps and different shades of ink. I've made 10 little cards and of course matching envelopes:-)

Allereerst heel erg dank voor jullie leuke reacties op mijn vorige bericht en natuurlijk een hartelijk welkom aan mijn nieuwe volgers, ik hoop dat jullie veel plezier beleven aan het bezoeken van mijn blog!

Ik zag dit filmpje en raakte meteen geïnspireerd om nog een setje met minikaartjes te maken voor de "SamenLoop voor Hoop" met bijpassende envelopjes natuurlijk. Ik gebruikte er een paar leuke bloemenstempels voor.

Hoop dat jullie het weer leuk vonden om mijn werk te zien!

A set of mini cards

This week I made a set of 6 mini cards with matching envelopes. It is for the "Relay for Life". I did write about it in this post.

I used one of my new clear stamps by Inkadinkado, called Fancy Flower and for the cards I stamped them on patterned paper and cut them out. A little strip with a sentiment and some faux stitching and I was done, very clean and easy, but fun to do! I will show you the whole "packed up" project when I'm completely done, hope you like it so far ;-)

Deze week heb ik me bezig gehouden met een setje van minikaartjes en bijpassende envelopjes. Het is voor de "SamenLoop voor Hoop", waarover ik in dit bericht geschreven heb.

Één van mijn nieuwe clear stempels gebruikt van Inkadinkado, genaamd Fancy Flower. Voor de kaartjes heb ik ze op mooi papier gestempeld van de Action en ze daarna uitgeknipt. Nog een kleine strook papier met een leuke tekst en wat 'faux stitching' en ik was weer klaar. Een mooi puur en eenvoudig projectje, maar erg leuk om te doen! Ik zal jullie natuurlijk het resultaat nog even showen als ik echt helemaal klaar ben en alles mooi ingepakt zit en zo, maar voor nu hoop ik dat jullie het al leuk vinden ;-)

Oh en mocht je nog de zin en tijd vinden om een handje te helpen voor de "SamenLoop voor Hoop" dan hoor ik natuurlijk graag van je!

Stempels Action

Whoohoo, ze hebben weer nieuwe stempels bij de Action. Hele mooie setjes met bloemen deze keer, dus ik moest ze wel meenemen natuurlijk :-D En ik dacht, laat ik meteen de tip maar weer delen. Op de foto hieronder zie je dat ze 6 verschillende patronen hebben(bij ons helaas al niet meer..nog maar 5..valt nog mee)

Dus ik zeg...rennen naar de Action hahaha...
Oh en morgen weer een nieuw berichtje met kaartjes enzo, nog even geduld dus ;-)

Art Specially 2011

This year I visited the Art Specially event/fair for the second time. It was great again! I saved some money especially for the occasion and with a small wishing list(hahaha...of course I bought many more lovely stuff) I went to the fair and bought these lovely goodies (ok, I had to borrow some money from my boyfriend too ;-)

Ook dit jaar weer naar de Art Specially beurs geweest, het was weer super! Gewapend met een kleine wensenlijst(hahaha...natuurlijk móest ik gewoon nog wat meer mooie spulletjes kopen) en wat spaarcenten naar de beurs gegaan en deze leuke spullen gekocht (ok, ik heb ook nog iets geleend van mijn lieve vriend hahaha...)

A wonderful deal at Scrapdelight I just couldn't resist, 8 Distress Ink pads for just 30€, so instead of 3 new colors I have now 9 :-) Also some new StazOn pads and the other goodies are some lovely extra's I received ..

Een geweldige aanbieding bij Scrapdelight, 8 Distress Inkt pads voor 30€, kon ik niet aan me voorbij laten gaan natuurlijk...dus i.p.v. 2 nu 9 mooie kleurtjes erbij :-) Ook nog 2 StazOn pads en nog enkele hele leuke extraatjes die ik gekregen heb..

Also joined some great workshops with a nice result and some extra knowledge of new techniques.

Mezelf ook creatief bezig gehouden in een paar hele leuke workshops met een leuk resultaat en kennis van nieuwe technieken.

Ok, now I'm going to organize my stamps, which means stamping them in my catalog and put them in drawers/cd-cases etc. Also going to color code my inks and put away all the purchased goodies in the right spot, also comes with the job(hobby)...

Ga ik me nu maar eens bezig houden met het organiseren van mn stempels, dus stempelen in mn catalogus en ze opbergen in lades/cd-doosjes etc. Ook even mn inkten van een kleurcode voorzien en al deze mooie spulletjes op de juiste plek opbergen, hoort er ook allemaal bij...

Ribbon & Buttons

Not yet a new creation, somehow I've lost a bit of my creative mood these days...but well, apparently not the need to buy creative supplies hahaha :-)

Went to The Hague last weekend and at the "Haagse Markt" (The Hague Market) they sold these cute ribbons and buttons, yummie!

Nog eventjes geen nieuwe creatie van mijn hand...ik schijn mijn creatieve bui een beetje te zijn kwijtgeraakt deze afgelopen dagen...ach blijkbaar niet de behoefte om creatieve spulletjes te kopen hahaha... :-)

Ik ben lekker een paar daagjes in Den Haag geweest en daar verkochten ze op de Haagse Markt deze mooie lintjes en knoopjes, mjammie!

Also went to the beach (Scheveningen) and went for a nice walk with lots of strong wind, love that!

Ook nog even naar het strand op Scheveningen geweest om lekker uit te waaien bij een goede sterke wind, daar hou ik wel van!

P.S. Wie gaat er nog meer naar het Art Specially Event dit weekend? Ik ben erbij iig, mijn verlanglijstje ligt al klaar ;-)

Samenloop voor Hoop

Graag wil ik vandaag jullie aandacht voor het volgende: als (ex)borstkankerpatiënt gaat mijn moeder met ons gezin, vrienden, collega's en familie in ons team "Ratjetoe" dit jaar voor een 2e keer meelopen in de SamenLoop voor Hoop in het dorp Best (vlakbij Eindhoven - Noord-Brabant). Deze zal plaatsvinden op 18 en 19 juni 2011.

De SamenLoop voor Hoop is in 1985 in de VS begonnen als 'Relay for Life' en wordt nu al in vele landen voortgezet. Met de SamenLoop vieren we het Feest voor Hoop, waarmee we vieren dat steeds meer mensen kanker overleven en dat we iets tegen deze ziekte kunnen doen. Door wetenschappelijk onderzoek te financieren zorgen we samen voor een toekomst met minder risico op kanker, meer kans op genezing en een betere kwaliteit van leven voor (ex)kankerpatiënten. Aan deze missie van KWF Kankerbestrijding dragen wij bij door het houden van en deelnemen aan een SamenLoop van Hoop.

Wat is nu precies deze SamenLoop voor Hoop?
De SamenLoop voor Hoop is een 24 uur durende sponsorloop, waarbij je als team 24 uur moet lopen. Dit kan in de vorm van een estafetteloop met je teamleden, als je maar als team 24 uur continu aan het lopen bent. Door je als team(lid) te laten sponsoren voor het aantal rondes of uren, zamel je geld in voor KWF Kankerbestrijding. Zo kunnen we mensen met kanker een hart onder de riem steken en zo hopelijk de strijd tegen kanker ooit winnen.

Naast de gesponsorde rondes/uren, beheren we als team ook een kraam. Hier kunnen allerlei activiteiten plaatsvinden, denk aan zingen voor een kwartje, de grabbelton, foto's maken, goochelshow, noem het maar op. Ook zijn wij als team "Ratjetoe" van plan om een gedeelte in te richten voor de verkoop van spulletjes en hierbij kan ik jullie hulp gebruiken! Zelf ga ik natuurlijk een aantal kaarten en andere kleine projectjes maken voor deze verkoop, maar ik zou het heel fijn vinden als jullie mij hierbij willen helpen! Kun je dus ergens de tijd vinden voor een kleine bijdrage in de vorm van een leuke kaart, mooi boekje, ander projectje, dan nodig ik je daarvoor uit! Wij kunnen deze dan verkopen bij onze kraam en natuurlijk gaat de opbrengst hiervan geheel naar KWF Kankerbestrijding.

Mocht je niet de tijd/behoefte hebben voor een bijdrage in deze vorm, maar misschien wel voor een financiele bijdrage, dan kan dit natuurlijk ook.Neem in beide gevallen even contact met mij op via de mail: debbie.stip@gmail.com.

Mini-books: a perfect gift...

A set of little mini-books. They are only 10cm tall and perfect for in your bag, so you can make little notes on the go.
I used some vintage papers, ribbon, drawing paper for the inside and some staples to bind it all together.

Een setje mini-boekjes. Ze zijn slechts 10 cm hoog en perfect voor in de tas om zomaar even gauw een korte notitie onderweg te maken.
Ik heb vintage-papier, lint, en tekenpapier voor binnenin gebruikt, alles bij elkaar gehouden met nietjes.

Made this cute little box to hold the mini-books, using some cardboard which I covered with some red paper.

Dit doosje ervoor gemaakt met een stuk karton dat met rood papier beplakt is.

This is how the inside of a mini-book looks like :-) Curious about your opinion of course!

Distress Inks

Have been playing with some Distress Inks, using some techniques from this video. Especially like the one where I dipped some lace in water and pressed it onto de background I sponged with Distress Inks, it gives such a neat effect!
If you have Distress Inks, you should definitely try some of the techniques, there's a whole lot of video's, you can found them here and here on Godelieve's blog.

Heb wat gespeeld met Distress Inkt, technieken uitgeprobeerd uit dit filmpje. Ben vooral erg blij met degene waar ik een natgemaakt stukje kant/vitrage gebruikt heb op een achtergrond die eerst met Distress Inkt gesponst is, het geeft echt een heel mooi effect!
Als jullie Distress Inkt hebben, moeten jullie zeker even een paar van de technieken uitproberen! Er zijn een heleboel filmpjes en ze zijn hier en hier op Godelieve's blog te vinden.

Creative with fabric

This weekend I did something different and went all creative with some peaces of fabric and felt to make this hanger for a friend of mine. The bird and the heart are my own designs, the flower is made with Nestabilities 'Blossom'.
Some hand stitching on the felt pieces, machine stitching on the outside edges and filled with some soft pillow- /'stuffed animal'- stuffing.

Dit weekend even heel iets anders en creatief met stof en vilt geweest om deze hanger voor een vriendin te maken. Het vogeltje en het hart zijn eigen ontwerpen, de bloem heb ik gemaakt met Nestabilities 'Blossom'.
Handgestikt op de vilten delen, met de naaimachine de buitenrand gestikt en gevuld met kussen/knuffel-vulling.

Don't get scared....

Allereerst dank jullie allemaal voor jullie lieve en grappige reacties op mijn hobbykamer, ik heb ze met een grote glimlach gelezen :-D Het meest opvallende was wel het commentaar over hoe netjes het was, nou laat ik je zeggen dat dit helaas maar voor 5% van de tijd zo is hoor...dus willen jullie zien hoe het er normaal uitziet? Niet schrikken nu hoor...

The desk is about 2.5 meters long, but when I'm crafting it is totally crowded up there....all the things I use/ might use/ would like to use I pull out and dump it on a spot that's still empty...so...yes I'm organized, but not when I'm crafting hahaha...

Het bureau is ongeveer 2,5m lang, maar als ik aan het freubelen ben ligt het gewoon helemaal vol....alle dingen die ik gebruik/ eventueel kan gebruiken/ zou willen gebruiken...ja alles haal ik tevoorschijn en dump ik op een plekje dat nog niet in gebruik is...dus ja...ik ben georganiseerd, maar niet als ik druk aant hobbyen ben hahaha...

So...time for some creative stuff....
When I saw this beautiful eggbox-book at Dymphie's blog and what she did with the inside pages, I just thought I needed something like that, an overview of all kinds of paper flowers! Ok, not very original huh, but it's so much fun to make and looks just so gorgeous!

Zo tijd voor weer wat creativiteit...
Toen ik dit prachtige eierdoos-boekje zag op Dymphie's blog en wat zij had gedaan met de pagina's binnenin, wist ik gewoon dat ik ook zo iets moest hebben, een overzicht van allerlei soorten papieren bloemen. Ok, niet heel origineel dus, maar zo ontzettend leuk om te maken en het ziet er zo mooi uit!

The idea is to make a complete booklet or something of it that can stand alone, like a sort of Rolodex, but of course there are many more pages to make :-)
Oh and yes, before I made the flowers I printed the backside with a short tutorial and all, very handy!

Het plan is om een heel boekje te maken dat op zichzelf kan staan, als een soort Rolodex...maar eerst nog lekker veel mooie pagina's met bloemen maken :-)
En oh ja, voor ik de bloemen gemaakt heb, heb ik eerst op de achterkant een korte turorial enzo geprint, heel handig!

Another box

Today I wanted to show you this other box I 'pimped'.
Used some lovely paper and an adorable "Gorjuss"- image I once received in a swap with Mariska. I colored it with some Copics and colored pencils.
The flower I made using some stamps by Inkadinkado which I cut out.

Vandaag wilde ik jullie nog een doosje laten zien dat ik gepimpt heb.
Ik heb mooi papier en dit schattige "gorjuss"-afdrukje gebruikt dat ik eens in een ruil van Mariska kreeg. Ingekleurd met Copics en kleurpotloden.
De bloem heb ik gemaakt met enkele stempels van Inkadinkado, die ik vervolgens uitgeknipt heb.

I'm finally back! It's been crazy busy over here these past few weeks and I just needed a break from well everything actually, including blogging. So a fresh start today ;-)

Zoooo...ik ben er eindelijk weer! Het is zo chaotisch druk geweest de laatste weken, dat ik echt even wat rust nodig had, inclusief van het bloggen. Maar vandaag dan weer een frisse start!

A birthday card for my grandmother.

Een verjaardagskaart voor mijn oma.

Another birthday card. My aunt just loves hippos and this adorable stamped image I received from 2 lovely ladies Annemarie en Merit. They just offered to sent me some when they found out about it, ladies..thank you so much!

Nog een verjaardagskaartje. Mijn tante is gek op nijlpaarden en dit ontzettend leuke afdrukje heb ik van de 2 lieve dames Annemarie en Merit gekregen, die me meteen aanboden om deze op te sturen, zodra ze ervan wisten! Dames, heel erg bedankt!

I also pimped this box containing baby wipes. The color matches just perfect with the color of my wall and so I didn't want to attach to much stuff to it. So I kept it simple and clean with just some simple changes.

Ook heb ik deze lotiondoekjes-box een beetje gepimpt. Hij was namelijk al de perfecte kleur voor op mijn bureau en ik wilde dan ook niet teveel frutsels erop hebben. Dus met een paar kleine veranderingen istie nu mooi rustig en helemaal af.

This weekend I made another birthday card for a man. I still think that's a quite hard job, but I think I managed to get a nice result.

Afgelopen weekend heb ik weer eens een mannen-verjaardagskaart gemaakt. Ik blijf het maar moeilijk vinden, maar ik denk dat het resultaat er toch wel mag zijn, al zeg ik het zelf ;-)

A while back I saw this post on Dymphie's blog and I totally wanted to make some eraser carved stamps too!! So I did and I used these squares to make the background of this card. The image is one I once received in a swap with Lins, it's just so adorable, don't you think?

Een tijdje geleden zag ik dit bericht op Dymphie's blog en ik wist meteen, ohhh dat wil ik ook doen, gegutste stempels van gummen maken, dus dat heb ik maar gedaan en met deze vierkantjes heb ik de achtergrond van het kaartje bestempeld. Het afdrukje heb ik trouwens eens in een ruil van Lins gekregen en ik vind het toch zo'n schatje, vinden jullie ook niet?

Oh en bij een kaartje natuurlijk ook een kadootje, dat ik voor de verandering ook eens helemaal speciaal ingepakt heb, gaaf hè? Er zijn vele sites en blog te vinden over 'gift wrapping' met allemaal leuke ideeen, echt heel leuk!

So here it is...the result of my inspirational moment ;-) It's one of the first times I just let it loose and created 'on the go'.

Just a collection of things: a base of watercoloring paper, some swirl stamping, a peace of an old children's book, some wrapping paper with a craft-paper look, punched leaves, burlap, robe with a cute charm, an embossed sentiment and a handmade Fimo button....

Zoooo...hier is dan het resultaat van mijn inspiratiemomentje ;-) Het is één van de eerste keren dat ik alles gewoon los heb gehouden en gewoon gecreëerd hebt al gaandeweg.

Een kleine collectie dingen: een basis van aquarelpapier, wat swirl-gestempel, een stukje van een oud kinderboek, stukje inpakpapier met een 'kraftpaper-look', blaadjes uitgeponst, een beetje jute, touw met een lief bedeltje, een geëmbossed tekstje en een handgemaakt Fimo-knoopje....

Don't know yet exactly what to think of it...I guess I DO like it...but it's so different than my usual cards, that I just need to adjust to the total picture of it...
So please tell me what you think of it...is it missing something, or is something just to much??? I would love to hear your opinion!

Weet nog niet zo goed wat ik ervan vind...Ik denk dat ik het toch wel mooi vind, maar het is gewoon zo anders dan mijn andere kaarten, dat ik gewoon nog even moet wennen aan het totaal denk ik....
Dusss...vertel me alsjeblieft wat je ervan vindt...mist er iets, of is iets gewoon simpelweg net té veel??? Ik hoor graag jullie meningen!

A creative stay-over...

Between Christmas and New Year's Eve, my 15 year old niece Janique stayed over and of course we had to craft together! So first we made a little envelope for some Merci-chocolates. I had already seen the idea on some different blogs and so we tried making some of our own. It became a envelope for 8 chocolates. If you want, you can download the template here. The top one is made by Janique and the bottom one was made by me.

Tussen Kerst en Oud&Nieuw kwam mijn 15-jarige nichtje Janique gezellig logeren en natuurlijk moesten we samen lekker fröbelen. Als eerste hebben we een envelop gemaakt voor merci-chocolaatjes. Ik had het idee al op verschillende blogs gezien en nu was het aan ons om een poging te wagen. Het is een envelop geworden voor 8 chocolaatjes en het patroon kun je hier downloaden als je wilt. De bovenste is door Janique gemaakt en de onderste door mij.

I also wanted to show Janique how to stamp "on" candles, like I showed you in this post Teaching her I had little time left to make one myself, but I will absolutely do so this month... These are the ones Janique created. Aren't they gorgeous?

Ik wilde Janique ook erg graag laten zien hoe je stempelt "op" een kaars, zoals ik jullie eerder heb laten zien in dit bericht Al uitleggende bleef er voor mij weinig tijd over om er zelf ook nog eentje te maken, maar dat komt wel goed ergens deze maand...Dit zijn de kaarsen die Janique gemaakt heeft. Zijn ze niet prachtig?

Bazzill Cardstock

I really like to share this website with you that I just found:
Bazzill Matchmaker

It is a site where you can match your patterned papers you bought from almost any brand with the needed Bazzill cardstock colors! How neat is that! I am not yet a user of Bazzill, but really thinking about it. I really like to get some more organization here around my cardstock collection, which now consists of all kinds of cheap brands A4 and A5 sized cardstock that don't always match my papers. It is also always a hard job to match them, because they are all different in shades of course. So a more basic collection of Bazzill cardstock would really help me out I think...Well I am really thinking about it and saving up some money for it ;-) Then I can even get really organised and make something like this great book, which Nicole showed us! That would just be great, don't you think?

Do you have any experience with Bazzill and what do you think about it, I really love to hear all of it?!?

Well, that's it for now, just some sharing this time, sorry... I'll be posting some creative stuff this saturday, I promise!

Ik wilde jullie echt even deze website laten zien, die ik net tegenkwam:
Bazzill Matchmaker

Het is een site, waar je je designerpapier supergemakkelijk kunt matchen met de kleuren van Bazzill cardstock! Is dat niet geweldig?! Ik ben nog geen gebruiker van Bazzill, maar denk er al een tijdje serieus over na om zo mijn karton/papier collectie beter te organiseren. Deze bestaat nu namelijk uit allerlei kleuren goedkoop A4- en A5-karton/papier die niet altijd passen bij het designerpapier. Ook is het altijd echt een heel gedoe om de kleuren überhaupt te matchen bij het papier, omdat het allemaal verschillende (kleur)tonen zijn en ik dus nooit weet welke nu bij wat precies past...Kortom een goede basiscollectie met Bazzill-kleuren zou al een hele verbetering zijn denk ik zo..ik ben er iig voor aan het sparen ;-)

Ook handig...kan ik meteen zo'n soort boekje maken, zoals Nicole op video heeft gezet, helemaal op en top georganiseerd dus! Ik denk dan ook aan een match met mn kleurpotloden/Distress Inks / stempelinkt etcetc...lijkt me echt geweldig!

Hebben jullie ervaring met Bazzill en zo ja, hoe is het bevallen/ bevalt het, ik hoor graag alles erover!?!

Ok, nou dat was het dan weer even voor vandaag, alleen wat mededelingen, sorry....maar deze zaterdag heb ik weer wat meer tijd en ga ik jullie zeker weer wat creatief goed laten zien!

WOW! Checking my blog, reading your comments it just caught my eye...I already have over 75 followers! How great is that! Thank you so much for joning me and leaving me such sweet comments! WAUW, terwijl ik mijn blog weer eens checkte en al jullie reacties aan het lezen was, zag ik ineens dat ik alweer meer dan 75 volgers heb :-) Dat vind ik echt super gewoon! Dank jullie wel voor het volgen van mijn blog en alle leuke, lieve reacties! Omdat ik zelf nogal druk ben deze periode, blijft er helaas maar weinig tijd over om al jullie blogs ook regelmatig te checken...maar ik wil jullie toch graag bedanken en dus vandaar: CANDY!! jaja..niet de zoete, eet-maar-lekker-op snoepies, maar candy van lint, knoopjes, afdrukjes enzo natuurlijk!
De precieze inhoud moet ik nog bepalen..daarvoor moet ik eerst nog een keertje door mn spulletjes graven...maarrrrr wil je meedoen, dan zijn dit de regeltjes:

Christmas...part 2

I made this cute Christmas Tree out of cookies! It is a try-out for the upcoming Christmas days to check if it would work...because I just found the idea somewhere.

And well it did! It was real fun to make and very easy too! If you would like to have a tutorial on this, let me know, I think I can find some time to make one for you!

Ik heb dit kerstboompje gemaakt als een probeerseltje voor de kerstdagen...even kijken of het wel zou gaan werken...ik was het idee namelijk ergens tegengekomen.
Nou dat doet het en het is ook nog eens heel leuk en makkelijk om te doen! Als je hiervan graag een tutorial ziet, laat het me dan weten, ik denk dat ik nog wel ergens tijd kan vinden om die te maken voor jullie!

Christmas...part 1

I still have to make quite a lot of Christmas cards...but I already made 3 new ones. I used embossing powders on all of them. For the one with the Christmas Trees, I inked the whole strip with VersaMark and then embossed it with some gold embossing powder. Then I stamped with some VersaMark using a floral background, which I embossed with some white embossing powder. After that I inked just the edges again with the VersaMark and embossed it also with some white embossing powder to create a more finished look.

Added some cute felt trees I bought at a store here in the Netherlands, some gold stickers which say :"Happy Holidays" and some white ribbon.

Pff...Ik moet echt nog best wel een boel kerstkaarten maken, maar ik heb er in ieder geval al weer 3 af. Ik heb embossing poeder op allemaal gebruikt. Op de eerste met de kerstboompjes heb ik een strip papier eerst geheel beïnkt met VersaMark en daarna geëmbossed(?) met goud poeder. Daarna heb ik met een grote achtergrondstempel en VersMark nog een keer gestempeld en dit wit geëmbossed. Daarna heb ik nog een keer de randjes alleen beïnkt en deze weer met wit gedaan om het iets meer af te maken. Een paar schattige vilten kerstboompjes van de Wibra, een gouden sticker met "Fijne Feestdagen"en natuurlijk nog een lintje.

The second card with the deer I made using a stamp from a Christmas set I bought at a drugstore nearby. I stamped it with the VersaMark and embossed it with some silver embossing powder. I cut out some circles with my Nestabilities and embossed the sentiment on it. Some silver rope and I thought I was done...but then I showed it to my boyfriend and he suggested adding the snowy ground underneath the deer, so I did, and it turned out beautifully! Love when he helps me out like that! Oh and I just used the eraser on the back of a pencil to stamp with the Versamark and embossed it with some white embossing powder.

De tweede kaart met het hertje heb ik gemaakt met een stempel uit een kerststempel-setje van Kruidvat. Weer gestempeld met VersaMark en met silver geëmbossed. Een paar cirkels met mijn Nestabilities uitgesneden en de tekst ook met zilver geëmbossed. Een stukje zilverkleurig touw en ik dacht dat ik wel klaar was..Maarrrr... toen liet ik mijn kaartje zien aan mijn vriend en die zei dat het hertje nog wel wat grond kon gebruiken om op te staan, dus dat heb ik nog maar gedaan en ik vind het resultaat super! Ben zo blij dat hij me zo af en toe nog even helpt met de details! Oh en ik heb de sneeuwige grond gemaakt door met de gummetje achterop een potlood en wat VersaMark te stempelen en dit met wit te embossen.

On the third card I actually made a little mistake first...I used some white cardstock and the floral background stamp again. I stamped it with the VersaMark and clear embossed it. I thought I could make the same background as on the first one, but in less steps...But when it cooled down and I wanted to try to make a resist with the next layer, I realized I couldn't make a resist using another layer of embossing powder...So I just tried what I would end up with....

Well actually I think it just turned out perfect, because now I had a raised image, like it was dry embossed...So after that I inked just the edges with VersaMark and embossed it with some white ebossing powder to create again a more finished look. Just added the felt stars, some gold sticker stars, sentiment, some ribbon and some faux stitching.

Hope you like them....

Op de derde kaart met de sterren heb ik eigenlijk een foutje gemaakt. Ik wilde dezelfde achtergrond als bij de eerste creëren, maar dan in minder stappen. Ik heb toen eerst met clear embossing poeder de achtergrondstempel gebruikt. Ik wilde dan een resist doen met de volgende laag, maar bedacht me toen dat dat met nog een laag embossing poeder niet zomaar kon...Ik heb toen maar geprobeerd wat er van zou komen als ik alsnog de gouden laag aan zou brengen.

Ach...eigenlijk vind ik het wel geslaagd, Het lijkt nu net of de achtergrond 'dry embossed' is. Zo daarna heb ik de randjes van deze strip ook met wit gedaan en de vilten sterren, gouden stickers, lint en wat 'faux stitching' toegevoegd.

Ik hoop dat jullie ze leuk vinden...

Milk Carton template

I had several request about the template I used to create the Milk Carton box. I got mine from Sanne, but I changed the measurementssto to make a bigger box to fit all the candy. Now you can download both versions of the template by clicking here. Use the little green arrows underneath the files to download the version(s) you want. Of course you can change the dimensions to your own liking or the measurements of the cardstock you're using ;-) But if you decide to use my template exactly the way it is, would you be so kind to make a note about it on your blog? I would really like that...

Ik heb meerdere verzoeken gehad over het patroon dat ik gebruikt heb voor het melkpakje. Ik heb het patroon dat ik van Sanne heb gehad even aangepast aan de door mij gebruikte maten. Je kunt beide versies hier downloaden. Gebruik de kleine groene pijltjes onder de bestanden om de versie(s) te downloaden die je wilt hebben. Natuurlijk staat het je vrij om de maten naar je eigen wensen aan te passen of naar de maten van het papier dat je gebruikt ;-) Maar als je mijn template exact gebruikt zo als hij is, wil je dit dan op je blog erbij vermelden? Dat zou ik wel fijn vinden....

I made this milk carton box for some friends as a small 'thank you- present' using a pattern I got from Sanne. Thank you so much Sanne, I really love it! I just changed the dimensions a bit to fit my candy better.

Ik heb dit melkpakje gemaakt als een klein 'dankjewel-kado' voor vrienden. Het patroon heb ik gekregen van Sanne. Dank je wel Sanne, ik ben er erg blij mee! Ik heb alleen de maten iets aangepast, zodat de snoepjes er beter in pasten...

For the little peek-through I used my Nestabilities 'Blossom' and to create the frame around it I used the nestie that I used to cut the frame and one that was just a size bigger. The technique is shown here in this video.

Het venstertje heb ik uitgesneden met mijn Nestabilities 'Blossom' en voor het randje heb ik de stans van het venstertje gebruikt en eentje die net iets groter was, 2 opeenvolgende groottes dus. Ik heb daarbij de techniek gebruikt zoals wordt uitgelegd in dit filmpje.

I used some pretty and cheerful paper from My Minds Eye called 'Candy Dots', one of the BOO! To You-papers from 2009.

Voor de zijkanten en de achterkant heb ik papier van the BOO! To You collectie uit 2009 gebruikt van My Minds Eye en het heet 'Candy Dots', een lekker vrolijk papiertje!

Just a little flower, a button and some ribbon...and well... I was pretty pleased with the result if I may say so myself :-) What do you think of it?

Nog een klein bloemetje, knoopje en lint en ik was helemaal blij met het resultaat :-) Wat vinden jullie ervan?

Stamping on candles

A while ago I saw this great post on Anneke's blog about stamping on candles. Last week I finally found some time to try it out...well you don't stamp directly on the candle actually, but on tissue paper, which you melt into your candle with your heat tool... Een tijd geleden zag ik een geweldig bericht op Anneke's blog over stempelen op kaarsen. Afgelopen week eindelijk wat tijd gevonden om het zelf ook te proberen... Je stempelt eigenlijk niet direct op de kaars zelf, maar op tissuepaper dat je vervolgens met je heat tool op het kaarsoppervlak smelt....Een goede tutorial hiervan vind je in dit Engelse filmpje:

Real tissue paper was to expensive for me and I just couldn't find something laying around in the house, so I tried out some tracing paper, the kind you use to trace your clothing patterns onto when sewing your own clothes. It just works perfectly and is also a inexpensive solution! Don't forget to stamp on the shiny side only, otherwise the ink may bleed of fade...

Echt tissue paper vond ik te duur en kon ik zo ook niet echt vinden in huis, dus ik heb het geprobeerd met patroonpapier, hetgeen je gebruikt om patronen voor kleding op over te trekken, en dat werkt gewoon perfect en is nog goedkoop ook! Vergeet niet om dan op de glanzende kant te stempelen, anders verdwijnt er te veel inkt in het papier, waardoor het uit kan lopen of de kleur vervaagt...

And another tip: buy some WHITE wax/baking paper, this really makes it much easier to see if the tissue paper is melting into the candle or not...this really goes pretty fast!

En dan nog een kleine tip, koop WIT bakpapier(= wax paper), dit maakt het echt stukken makkelijker om te zien of het tissue papier al in de kaars aan het smelten is of niet, want dit gaat behoorlijk snel! Ik kocht de mijne in een toevallige aanbieding van de Lidl en bij de Dirk vd Broek hebben ze het bij ons altijd in het schap... Oh en ik heb gemerkt dat het op kaarsen van de Blokker helemaal prima werkt, op die van de Kruidvat helaas wat minder, die worden een beetje bobbelig...

Organizing thingies...

No card for today...Sorry...But I have something to share with you...some organizing thingies :-)
With reorganizing my craft space, I came up with some ideas, which I just wanted to share with you.

Geen kaartje vandaag, sorry...maar ik heb wel iets te delen met jullie, namelijk een aantal opruim/organiseer dingetjes :-)
Met het reorganiseren van mijn hobby/knutsel/werk/studeer-ruimte kwam ik namelijk op een aantal ideetjes en die wil ik gewoon graag even laten zien:

In the picture above you see my little collection of Letraset Permanent Twin-tip Promarkers. I keep them in a bucket on a curtain rod just above my workspace. But as you probably know, those Promarkers don't have a very handy color-indication so I made one myself. I used these standard labels with a sticky backside you'll use on study books or so and I punched out some little flowers that were just the right size for the top of the caps.

In de foto hierboven zien jullie mijn kleine collectie met Letraset Permanent Twin-tip Promarkers. Ze hangen in een emmertje met mijn Copics aan een gordijnstang boven mijn werkblad. Maar zoals jullie waarschijnlijk wel weten hebben deze markers niet echt een fijne kleurenindicatie en daarom heb ik die zelf maar even gemaakt. Ik heb uit gewone standaard etiketten(deze zijn volgens mij van de Wibra) bloemetjes geponst.

I colored the little flowers with the colors of the markers and after letting them dry for a bit, I stuck them to the top of the caps.. The colors are not quite what the'll be on white cardstock, but it makes it just easy to grap the right one. For the real colors on my cardstock I am busy making myself a kind of coloring card...but that will take just a little bit more time before I can show you ;-)

Deze heb ik vervolgens ingekleurd met de markers en daarna op de doppen geplakt. De kleurtjes zijn niet helemaal hetzelfde als op wit kaartpapier, maar dat maakt niet uit, het gaat erom dat ik gauw de juiste kan pakken. Voor de exacte kleuren, ben ik nog bezig met een soort boekje/overzichtje, maar het duurt nog wel even voor ik dat af heb en kan laten zien...;-)

This picture shows you my little ribbon ring I made myself. It just hold little strips of my ribbon with just a length of 16.5 cm (or a bit longer if it is just the last piece). This length is still just enough to use on another card if I would run out of the specific kind of ribbon....

Dan nog zo'n ideetje...Ik heb een leuke ring met mijn lintjes gemaakt. Hierop zitten strips van lint met een lengte van slechts 16,5cm, een lengte nog net genoeg voor een kaartje, mocht het desbetreffende lint op zijn...
Van sommige lintjes heb ik gewoon nog maar een stukje...dat zijn de langere strips aan de ring...

I've made myself this ring so I can easily match my ribbons to the card I am making. It is not too long, so it can also hang on my curtain rod. The rest of the ribbon is sorted into nice big jars, as you can see in this previous post. But now I don't have to dig through anymore trying to find the right colors. I now can first match the right colors and then dig in to find it hahaha :-)

The tutorial on how it's made, I will be showing you someday if you would like...but I am very busy now..so It won't be anytime real soon I guess...sorry!

Ik heb deze ring gemaakt, zodat ik makkelijk mijn lintjes kan laten matchen met het kaartje waar ik mee bezig ben. Het ding is niet te groot, dus past ook prima aan mijn gordijnstang. De rest van het lint zit in grote glazen weckpotten, zoals jullie hebben kunnen zien in dit bericht. Nu hoef ik niet meer door de potten te graaien op zoek naar de juiste kleuren...nee nu kan ik eerst de kleuren matchen en dan hoef ik alleen nog maar door de juiste pot te graaien naar de juiste kleur hahaha :-) Tsja...dat graaien blijft nu eenmaal leuk ;-)

Hoe het ding precies gemaakt is? Daar komt nog een tutorial van...maar ik ben zo druk de komende tijd, dat dat voorlopig nog niet af komt...sorry!

Ik hoop dat jullie hier toch iets aan hebben gehad/ het leuk vonden om het te lezen...heb je nog vragen, of zelf nog tips, dan hoor ik dat graag!

Felt like something cheerful! I made this card with papers from a 6x6 paper block a recently purchased at Doeading Spijkenisse. Aren't those papers just gorgeous? The block is called Material Girl by Cosmo Cricket.

The image I once received in a swap and I colored it with my colored pencils with colors matching the beautiful papers. I then cut it out with my nesties and sponged the background of the image in a soft blue/green color.

A little flower and a greeting to finish it off...

Ik had eens zin in iets vrolijks. Ik heb daarom dit kaartje gemaakt met papiertjes uit een nieuw papierblokje dat ik laatst gekocht heb bij Doeading Spijkenisse. Zijn ze niet prachtig? Het blokje is een Mini Deck genaamd Material Girl van Cosmo Cricket.

Het afdrukje heb ik eens in een ruil ontvangen en ik hem em ingekleurd met mn kleurpotloden, natuurlijk in de kleuren die ook terugkomen in het papier. Daarna heb ik em uitgestanst met mijn nesties en de achtergrond van het plaatje met een sponsje een blauw/groene kleur gegeven.

Nog een bloemetje en een tekst en ik was weer klaar...

For one of my best friends I made this green birthday card. The image I made combining a Tiger-stamp by All Night Media and one with adorable mice from Penny Black. It made a cute birthday parade.

I colored the image again with some Copics for a change. Hmmmm...still learning...

I didn't use very much else on the card, because I thought the image was already just all it needed in my opinion. So I added some ribbon and a sentiment and finished off with some dots and stripes in green and brown.

Voor één van mijn beste vriendinnen heb ik dit groene verjaardagskaartje gemaakt. Het plaatje is ontstaan uit een combi van een Teigetje-stempel van All Night Media en eentje met schattige muisjes van Penny Black. Een leuke verjaardags-parade is het zo geworden, toch?

Ik heb het plaatje ingekleurd met Copics...tsja...nog steeds lerende zal ik maar zeggen...

Ik heb verder niet zoveel extra gebruikt, want ik vond alleen het plaatje al wel genoeg eigenlijk. Alleen dus nog maar een lintje, tekstje en wat stipjes en strepen om het af te maken.

To also give her a little extra gift I matched some tealight glasses by giving them some ribbon too...Just an easy but lovely gift I think...

Om toch ook nog een extra kadootje te geven wat er helemaal bij paste heb ik een tweetal kleine sapglaasjes omgetoverd tot waxinelichthoudertjes die ik ook voorzien heb van een mooi bijpassend lintje...een eenvoudig maar leuk kadootje dacht ik zo?

For someone who finished his study, I made this "graduation"-card. This Dustin Pike -image is just the perfect one for it I thought! It had to be a masculine card, so I used dark colors and a rough textured background.

The image is colored with Copics( I finally bought some, yeeehhh) and is one of my first attemps coloring with Copics...still have a lot to learn.... I cut it out with some nesties and with some dimensionals, I popped it on the card...
So what do you think..is it masculine enough?

Voor iemand die zijn studie heeft afgerond heb ik een "afstudeer"-kaartje gemaakt. Ik vond dat dit digi-stempeltje van Dustin Pike het perfecte plaatje was voor deze gelegenheid. het moest wel een mannelijke kaart worden, dus ik heb gebruik gemaakt van donkeren kleuren en een achtergrond emt een grove textuur.

Het plaatje is ingekleurd met Copics( YESSS...ik heb er eindelijk een aantal gekocht) en het is één van mijn eerste pogingen om met Copics te kleuren...pfff..ik heb nog een boel te leren....

Ik heb het plaatje met mijn nesties uitgestanst en met een aantal foamblokjes op de kaart bevestigd...

En wat vinden jullie ervan, istie mannelijk genoeg geworden?

Pirate and boats

Today another birthday card. I've used this cute pirate image by Magnolia I once received in a swap, because it was just the perfect fit for the patterned paper with those lovely boats....

I colored the image with my colored pencils and to bring in some extra color I also used some orange and grey patterned paper and also those colors in the image.

The little frame is by Inkadinkado, which I filled with the 'happy birthday'-greeting. Some bling and flowers of course to give it some more flair. Hope you've enjoyed it!

Vandaag weer eens een verjaardagskaartje... Ik heb dit een schattig Magnoliaatje afdrukje gebruikt dat ik eens in een ruil heb ontvangen. Ik vond dat dit piraatje perfect paste bij het schattige boot-papiertje....

Ik heb het afdrukje ingekleurd met mijn kleurpotloden en voor wat extra kleur heb ik ook nog wat oranje en grijs papier gebruikt. Ook heb ik deze kleuren dus terug laten komen in mijn afdrukje.

Het kleine kadertje is een stempel van Inkadinkado en ik heb er een happy birthday ingestempeld. Wat bloemen en bling natuurlijk nog voor een beetje extra flair. Ik hoop dat jullie weer hebben genoten van dit kaartje ;-)

*** Omdat ik het de komende tijd echt heel druk ga hebben met mijn studie en daardoor erg weinig vrije tijd over houd, heb ik besloten om nog maar 2x per week te gaan bloggen. Singing Robot

Another card I totally forgot to show you. I've used this cute singing robot for a girl who loves to sing. The patterned papers are from the action and the cute robot image is by Imaginisce. I stamped it with some Brilliance Perlescent Orchid ink, which gives it a nice subtle shine to it.

Some bling, pieces of ribbon and a flower and I was all done:-)

Helemaal vergeten ook dit kaartje te showen dat ik echt al een hele tijd geleden gemaakt heb... Ik heb deze schattige, zingende robot gebruikt voor een meisje van mijn opleiding die helemaal gek is op zingen.

De papiertjes zijn weer eens van de Action en het leuke stempeltje is van Imaginisce. Ik heb het gestempeld met Brilliance Perlescent Orchid inkt, die een mooie subtiele glans geeft aan het geheel.

Een beetje bling, lint en een bloemetje en ik was weer klaar :-)

Little Envelope

Hello again!

Today I wanted to show this little envelope I've made. It holds a gift card, so it's just a small thing, about 12 cm long and 9 cm tall.

I used this adorable Forever Friends image I once got from
Lins and colored it with my colored pencils.

The background paper I stamped myself with different stamps and purple inks.

With this envelope I would like to join in with the newest challenge on 'Een Hoop Inspiratie Challenge Blog' and the Birthday Blog Hop Challenge on Teddy Stampers.

Hallohallo!

Vandaag wilde ik graag dit envelopje laten zien. Binnenin zit een kadokaart, dus het is maar een klein ding hoor, zo'n 12 cm breed en 9 cm hoog.

Ik heb dit enorm schattige afdrukje gebruikt dat ik eens van Lins heb gehad. Ik heb em weer eens ingekleurd met mijn kleurpotloden.

Hallo allemaal!

Heel erg bedankt voor jullie reacties op mijn berichtje over snijden en verhitten...Ik heb ondertussen een heat tool aangeschaft hoor:

Jawel eentje van Artemio, die ik heb kunnen kopen bij de Pipoos voor maar 15,95, wat ik natuurlijk wel een zeer aangenaam prijsje vond! Ik ben meteen aan het uitproberen gegaan...ik wil namelijk eens uitproberen of ik ook kan 'stempelen' op kaarsen, zoals ik zag op Anneke's blog. Ik houd jullie op de hoogte van mijn vorderingen!

Als jullie trouwens nog meer tips hebben over leuke projectjes, waarbij ik mijn heattool kan gebruiken, dan hou ik me aanbevolen!

Voor een papiersnijder ben ik trouwens nog aan het rondkijken...dus tips daarover zijn ook nog steeds welkom!

EHI Challenge

Some time ago a won the challenge at the 'Een Hoop Inspiratie Challenge Blog', and I became a guest designer for two weeks. This is the second card I then made...totally forgot to show it...

I had to make a card using a sketch made by Ida. I decided to use this big, cute Penny black image, because it just seemed to go perfectly with the sketch.

The papers are from a paper block from the Action and I only added a ribbon and big flower, because there was already so much going on on the card in my opinion...

...but please tell me what you think of it, I would love to hear it!

Ik moest een kaartje maken n.a.v. een schets gemaakt door Ida. Ik vond dat deze Penny Black stempel perfect paste bij de schets.

De papiertjes komen van een blok van de Action en ik heb besloten om alleen nog maar een beetje lint en een grote bloem toe te voegen, want het was al vrij druk op de kaart naar mijn mening...

Hallo allemaal,

Allereerst natuurlijk een hartelijk welkom aan mijn nieuwe volgers! Ik heb het enorm druk gehad met de studie de afgelopen weken, maar ik beloof dat ik jullie blogs gauw kom bezoeken!

De reden voor dit bericht? Ik wil graag jullie mening over een 2tal zaken:

1. Ik wil heel graag eindelijk een heattool aanschaffen. Welke raden jullie me aan en waar kun je deze kopen? Geef vooral ook aan waarom het zo'n aanrader is natuurlijk!

2. Ik wil ook heel graag een goede papiersnijder aanschaffen. Dan bedoel ik geen Cricut ofzo, maar gewoon zo'n platte plaat met een mesje erlangs. Ook hiervan heb ik niet zoveel verstand, dus ben benieuwd welke bij jullie favoriet is en waarom..Natuurlijk ook hierbij graag vermelden waar ik em aan kan aanschaffen...

Ik hoop dat jullie me kunnen helpen!

Welcome Baby

Soooo...finally something new on my blog.... I am so sorry, but I have been terribly busy with studying and some deadlines...so no time for blogging left there... But here I am again ;-)

Isn't this cute? A while ago, in between studying and studying I made a welcome baby card. I used a coloring page of Bambi, which a made a bit smaller in Word and printed out on some DCP paper. I chose the image to match the cute background paper which is 'Happy Go Lucky' from the Blue Skies collection by American Crafts. I colored it with my colored pencils and cut it out with my Nestabilities.

The border I made using my smallest circle punch and a strip of paper and I decorated it with some of my recently purchased ribbon and a cute butterfly charm.

And for finishing off, I just added a little leather flower I had laying around and some white gel pen dots and dashes..

Eindelijk weer eens iets nieuws...Ik heb het gigantisch druk gehad met studeren en met een aantal deadlines en ik had daardoor helaas geen tijd meer voor bloggen. Maar hier ben ik dan weer ;-)

Is deze niet schattig?? Ik heb deze week een babykaartje gemaakt en daar heb ik, jawel, een kleurplaat van Bambi voor gebruikt. En om het echt af te maken heb ik alleen nog een klein leren bloemetje gebruikt dat ik nog had liggen en wat witte gelpen stippeltjes en streepjes...

Another Christmas Card...

Last week was my first week being a guest designer at 'Een Hoop Inspiratie Challenge Blog'. The Challenge was to make a Christmas card with lots of layers. So this is what I came up with.

The patterned papers are from the Christmas Mint Collection by S.E.I which is from last year I think and I just bought it in the summer holiday when it was on sale of course;-) Works just fine for me!

The image is masked, combining a Christmas tree from 'Create and Craft' and a 'Penny Black' image from the Christmas Critters set.

The cute ribbon and wooden star I bought at Xenos last year, the wooden star I sponged with Brilliance Pearlescent Poppy ink.

Hallo allemaal!

Vorige week was mijn eerste week als gastdesigner bij de 'Een Hoop Inspiratie Challenge Blog'. De uitdaging van die week was om een kerstkaartje te maken met lekker veel laagjes papier. En dit is dus mijn bijdrage geworden.

De papiertjes komen uit de Christmas Mint collectie van S.E.I., welke volgens mij alweer van vorig jaar is. Ik heb hem in ieder geval pas in de zomervakantie gekocht, in de uitverkoop natuurlijk, en dat vind ik wel prima zo!

De afbeelding is gemaskerd en bestaat uit een combi van een kerstboom van 'Craft and Create' en een stempeltje uit de Christmas Critters-set van 'Penny Black'.

Het lint en de houten ster heb ik vorig jaar gekocht bij de Xenos en de ster heb ik met Brilliance Pearlescent Poppy inkt gesponst om hem een lekker rood kleurtje te geven.

Hoop dat jullie mn kaartje weer leuk vinden!

P.S. Op verzoek zoals jullie wel gemerkt hebben ook in het Nederlands tegenwoordig...is dat prettiger?

A Penny Black birthday card

Last weekend Lins had her birthday and since she now has received her card, I can place it on my blog.

I picked out some papers and really felt like doing something different. So I started out with a hand-stamped background paper and used a bunch of papers from Kaisercraft. I distressed all the edges and sponged them with some dark chocolate inks.

The image are actually two different Penny Black images I matched together to create a kind of 'going to the party-parade'.

Some ribbon, a big button and a cute flower to make the card more interesting.

Afgelopen weekend was Lins jarig en nu ze het kaartje ontvangen heeft, kan ik em om mn blog laten zien.
Ik had een aantal papiertjes uitgezocht en had eens zin om het iets anders aan te pakken. Ik ben dus begonnen met een zelf gestempelde achtergrond en heb daarnaast nog wat papiertjes van Kaisercraft gebruikt. Van al deze papiertjes heb ik de randjes gedistressed en gesponst met wat donkerbruine inkts.

Het plaatje bestaat eigenlijk uit 2 verschillende Penny Black stempeltjes, die ik samengevoegd heb om een soort van 'Op naar het feestje-parade' te maken.

Lint, grote knoop en leuke bloem om de kaart nog wat interessanter te maken.

Fimo buttons

I made myself some Fimo buttons. They look quite pale, but I still need to find a nice polish/lacquer to finish them of...tried it with nail polisher already, but that made it look way too shiny...anyone any ideas?

Ik ben de laatste tijd ook bezig geweest met het maken van knoopjes van Fimo klei. Ik vind ze er nogal dof uitzien, maar ik moet er nog maar eens een goede lak voor vinden. Ik heb het al geprobeerd met blanke nagellak, maar dat werd echt veelste glimmend...iemand enig idee wat ik het beste kan gebruiken?

Hello again!
A friend of mine had a reopening day of her outdoor business so I made her a little card. (I also made a matching label for a bottle of wine, but forgot to photograph it ...AND yes...I did already write on the card before taking pictures...oopsie).

The Magnolia I once received in a swap of stamped images(I thought from Inge?) and it was stamped on watercolor paper, so I used some distress inks and ZIG watercoloring markers to color in the image. My first attempt really trying to use the distress ink technique and I guess it went pretty well if I may so so myself ;-)

The cute paper is one I received in my candy package I won at Jolanda's blog. It really is adorable! Only added some blingbling dragonflies and a punched flower with a sentiment I made on my computer, printed and punched out also.
Please tell me what you think of it, I love to hear it :-)

Hoihoi!

Een vriendin van me had een heropeningsfeestje van haar outdoor bedrijf en natuurlijk heb ik even een kaartje gemaakt. (Ik had ook nog een bijpassend label voor een wijnfles gemaakt, maar die ben ik natuurlijk vergeten te fotograferen...EN ja, ik had ook al in de kaart geschreven voor ik foto's ging maken...oopsie...)

Het Magnoliaatje heb ik een keer in een afdrukjesruil gehad (volgens mij van Inge?) en aangezien deze gestempeld was op aquarelpapier heb ik wat Distress inkt en mijn ZIG stiften gebruikt om het plaatje in te kleuren. Het was mijn eerste poging om de Distress inkt techniek te gebruiken en ik denk dat het best wel gelukt is, als zeg ik het zelf ;-)

Het ontzettend leuke bloemenpapiertje heb ik ontvangen in mijn candy, die ik gewonnen had op Jolanda's blog. Het is zo schattig! Ik heb verder alleen nog maar wat blingbling libellen en een uitgeponste bloem toegevoegd met een tekstje dat ik zelf op mijn computer gemaakt en uitgeprint heb. Ik heb het tekstje daarna geponst met een cirkelpons voor in het midden van de bloem.

Laat me alsjeblieft weten wat je ervan vindt, ik hoor het graag!

Well first I would say: open and honest. I like to speak my mind and if I have a problem with something or someone I would say so in a face tot face way.

My first Christmas card

Hi there :-)

First of all, thank you so much for visiting my blog and leaving me such sweet comments!
I've made another card today and yes it is finally a Christmas card...my first...so still lots to go ;-)

I made it using the latest sketch from the Een hoop inspiratie challenge blog and I've used papers from the Christmas Mint Collection by S.E.I.

The image is one of the Christmas Critters by Penny Black, which I colored with my colored pencils and cut out with my Nestabilities Labels. By the way, the background I sponged with some 'Blue Iris' from ColorBox.

For the little heaps of snow (if you can even see....) I used a cutout from the Nestabilities Blossom set and some very light blue ink which I sponged just around the corners of the cutout. You can see the technique I've used HERE.

The tag is one of the stickers that came with the paper set. I have put it on some cardstock and raised it with some dimensionals/ foam adhesive.

With this card I am joining the fun of the 16th challenge of the 'Een hoop inspiratie challenge blog'.

Cards and a sketch book...

For a friend from school I made some birthday gifts. When I saw some cute papers by Cosmo Cricket I knew I had to make something with it just for her, cause these papers screamed her name:-) I made her a little book and a set of cards:

The book is tied with some red ribbon and contains some blank pages for sketching and doodling. I've used several Cosmo Cricket papers from the Honey Pie Collection and some colored cardstock for creating a collage effect. I've added 2 buttons and a little flower charm for some extra interest.

The set of cards contains 6 cards of which 3 different designs, with matching envelopes. The papers are the same as used on the little book. The stamped images are from A Capella(flower), Inkadinkado(Ladybug) and one unknown type.

I used kind of the same layout as I used on a former set of cards, because I wanted it to keep clean and simple.

First I'll have to give you my reasons for starting blogging, well here it goes:
I am following a creative study but that gives me a lot of stress and assignments that are obligatory. All comes with learning of course, but I had to find something creative to do that was just for fun. After scrolling down the internet and reading a lot of blogs I decided I wanted to pick up card making again. I used to do this with my grandmother when I was a teenager and we used all kinds of techniques like tea bag folding, painting with colored sand, Pergamano and so on. But this time I especially took interest in the cute cards with stamps and so I just had to try that! And well...here we are ;-)

Secondly I am supposed to be naming 10 people to give on this great award! But that ain't an easy job, because I really like all of your great creations, beautiful blogs and of course also enjoying the great, sweet comments you leave on my blog...So I would love to give this award to all of you! I just cannot name just ten...;-) Feel free to put this award on your blog if you feel you've inspired me!

I made this birthday card to go with the birthday presents for my sister. The patterned papers are from the Action paper blocks and I also used them to paper pierce the image with some clothes. The rest of the image I colored with my watercoloring ZIG markers.
The paper piercing was a first for me and it was real fun!

I cut he image and the sentiment out with my nestabilities Blossom and added some sturdy ribbon, a flower and some "bling".

For my sisters birthday a while ago, I tried to make something new. I once bought quite some beads and have made myself and friends some jewelery years ago. Sooo, time for a new attempt;-)

I made some basic pink hanging earrings and with some creamy fake leather, a belt buckle and lots of beads I created a blingbling belt for my sister to wear to a party or so.

It was quite the challenge and I am not really sure about the end result but will be trying more, because I really liked doing it!

The image is one of Karen Doodles digi's which I purchased online. I colored it with my colored pencils and used my Nestabilities Dahlia to cut it out. Added some soft ribbons and some bling of course;-)

I've made this birthday card for my father, who just turned 50. He's still very young since I'm the eldest and already 27;-)

I've made this card for the 1st Challenge from the Menscardsworld Challenge Blog: making a card for men with the theme animals! For the layout I've used the newest sketch from Sketch Saturday.

The image is a cute digital Bigsby- image from Karen Doodles which I colored with my colored pencils. The patterned papers are again from the North Pole Collection by Crate Paper. Some buttons and of course an sentiment and the important number 50;-)

I made another birthday card this weekend. Lots of birthdays coming up in the family soon, so pretty busy with that:-)

The image is one I received in a swap with Christa , just such a sweet image, don't you think? I colored it with my colored pencils, again already when I was in Italy.

For the card I've used a patterned paper from a paper block from the Action and a little ribbon my mother bought me at the market for my birthday this year, love ribbon with dots!

I'v made another birthday card. I used this cute Whipper Snapper image I once got in a stamped images-swap. I had already precolored the image with my colored pencils when I was in Italy and home again, I've used this older Sketch from http://sweetsketchwednesday.blogspot.com/ which I really wanted to try.

The patterned paper is from the North Pole Collection by Crate Paper called Scarf and the buttons I once bought at the market.

Love shopping for new hobby stuff, and look what I've found in Italy:

All kinds of cute and gorgeous ribbons, rope and silky soft papers! And even better...my boyfriend bought it for me as a vacation gift, isn't he just sweet?!!

I found it at a little shop called Fantasia in a little town in Italy. The owner told us she had been making stuff her own for quite some years now and more and more people asked about her work or to make things for them. So she decided to sell some handmade gifts and things and now also all kinds of materials to make cute things yourself....well lucky me I found her shop:-) Will be making lots of great stuff with these supplies, that's for sure!

Ciao! ...Still with my head a bit in Italy;-)

Well first of all I wanted to thank you all again for your lovely comments on my blog lately, they really make me smile!

Secondly I wanted to show you two new cards I've made. These were made in the busybusy period just before I went to Italy:

This card I've made with a cute little new Magnolia I bought on 'Marktplaats' called Farmer Tilda. It's an oldie, but I love it. It's also my first 'sitting-Tilda', so I am very happy with this little girl :-)

The patterned paper I've used is a new one from a paperblock from the Action again. They had really lovely blocks with all different kinds of sturdy, lovely papers for such low prizes again, makes shopping fun , even as a student hahaha...

To keep it clean and simple I've cut out little Tilda and placed her onto a creamy white ribbon, on which I stamped the greeting with StazOn ink, worked pretty well I think.

The second card I've made was a card for Patries, who had her birthday and the card was for her birthday candy she had on her blog. Sorry for the bad picture...I had to use my cellphone, because the camera was already packed ;-)

I've used a sketch from the 'Penny Black Saturday Challenge'- blog.

The papers are again from a paperblock from the Action and I've used a cute PB image called Marching Mouse, which I colored with my colored pencils and cut out with some nesties. Some flowers, ribbon and bling and another card was born...

Yes I'm finally back...have had some crazy busy days and I went to Italy for some vacation. It was so very wonderful over there...

First of all, welcome to al my new followers! To you and all my "old" followers a big thank you for all your sweet comments on my cards!

I made this birthday card today. I used one of my newest Magnolia's I bought at "Marktplaats". I think she is really cute!

I colored the image with Promarkers and colored pencils. The background paper is one from a new block from the Action, produced by Studio Light, it really has very lovely designs and is really cheap! The have several blocks wtih different papers and of course I had to by a couple;-)

The big and small "flowers"are cut with my nestabillities called Blossom. Some soft satin ribbon and some buttons and I was done...

Butterflies

Totally forgot this card I've made.. My boyfriend, my sisters and I went to our grandparents who where in the neighborhood with their boat/ yacht. I brought some flowers and had to make a card of course:-)

The colors are pretty pinkish /purplish, just so sweet I think;-)

This lovely butterfly is a stamp that I bought at the Art Specially this year. It is from A Capella.
I first stamped the dark one, which I then masked to stamp the lighter one behind it. I then cut them out with my Nestabilities to make a nice frame of it.
The background papers are from paper blocks from the Action and the flowers I added for some more interest.

New nesties and a thank you card

I bought some new Nestabilities from Nicole and to thank her for the great service, I made her this little card. Of course I had to use my new nesties which are from the set standard & classic circles.

I used an adorable cat image from Penny Black, because I know Nicole loves cats:-) I colored the image with Promarkers and colored pencils. The background paper is one from the Tiffany's collection, called Farrow by We R Memory Keepers.

Added some ribbons, bling and flowers for finishing.
I think it turned out really cute and I'm already in love with my new nesties :-D

Father's Day

I totally forgot to show you the card I made for Father's Day.... I wanted something manly, so I used some natural card stock and dark blue.

The stamps are from Penny black and I colored them with my colored pencils.

The background I made myself using a Texture Plate by Fiskars and some dark blue chalk ink. Some added detail by making a faux-stitching line with a blue pen and I was done...guess it worked out just fine for a masculine card....

I can place this card now, since Christa already received it. I send it to her for her birthday and to join her birthday candy. Well, I didn't win, but the ladies that did really made some lovely cards, so they really deserved it!

The image is a digital stamp by The Greeting Farm, which I recently purchased. It's just so funny and cute:-) I colored her with my colored pencils.

I used some lovely papers with bright colors from the Abbey Road Collection and the Ooh La La Collection by My Mind's Eye. Just gorgeous right?!
The dotted background I made myself. I used Texture Plate by Fiskars to emboss the paper with little dots, which I then softly inked with some chalk ink.

It was really fun to make this card and I hope Christa liked it ;-)

Wedding card

Another card to show. I've used a lovely Magnolia image which I got through a swap. It was such fun using it for a weddingcard :-) I colored the image with my waterbased Zig markers to give it a soft watercolor look.

For the bakcground I used some vintage papers from a cute paperblock from the Action.The flowers are made with a cutting and embossing stencil from Joy Crafts.

Between all those days of studying, I just had to make some time to make another birthday card, and this is what I came up with:

Ik kept it pretty clean, because of the lack of time, but I think it just worked out:)

I used some bits and pieces I got by mail: the image I got in an image-swap with Linsey and the cute background paper, was one of the lovely ones I won with the blog candy over at Jolanda's blog.

The little ribbon is by We R memory keepers, which I purchased at the Art Specially Fair this year, I just love it!

The image is colored with my colored pencils and I've matted it on some pieces of cardstock and some 3D-foam, to make it pop a bit more. The brown layer of it, I just cut along the sides with one of my pinking scissors(?kartelscharen?)

Look what I've got in the mail:

It's the candy I won over at the blog of Jolanda , isn't it amazing?!! Such great embellishments, a cute stamps and a whole lot of papers of 15x15cm and 16,5x11,5cm and even some bigger ones with very shiny felted/ verlours(?) patterns.... She really has been so enormously generous! Thank yo so,so much Jolanda! Already busy using one of your beautiful papers for a card:)

Hello!

very very very very busy with my study, so that's why I have'n t been blogging lately or checking out yours, sorry!

But... I found a little spare time to make this birthday card for one of my closest friends:

She really likes all kinds of Eastern things, so I had to use this image by The Greeting Farm, called Geisha Anya. Thank you Christa so much for giving me one to work with!

I used this very nice sketch from the Cute Stamps and Cards Challenge Blog. A blog by a very good and fast delivering webshop for all your creative needs!
The papers are a Winterberry sheet by Flair Designs Inc. and a sheet called Flower Beds from the Spring Fling Collection by Pink Paislee.

The image I've colored with my colored pencils and of course I had to ad some nice ribbon and a nice border, made with my EK Success border punch Double Morocco Lace. Those little wooden sticks are toothpicks I cut in half, they make such a fun detail, don't they?

hier een verzoekje...ik ben heel hard op zoek naar afdrukjes van bovenstaande stempel of de stempel zelf tegen een klein prijsje ;-) Het is de stempel Geisha Anya van The Greeting Farm. Het was in 2009 nog een digistamp, maar is nu alleen nog maar verkrijgbaar op rubber geloof ik....

een vintage- tip

Hallo allemaal!

Deze week weer eens langs de Action geweest en daar kwam ik bovenstaande vintage- papierblokjes tegen. Deze blokjes zijn 15 x 15 cm en zijn echt helemaal geweldig, want er zitten onwijs mooie papiertjes in:-) Oh en ze kosten maar 0,79eurocent per blokje! Dus voor iedereen die nog op zoek is naar goedkopere, maar mooie papiertjes, raad ik deze zeker aan!

Baby boy

This card is for welcoming a new baby boy in this world.... I used a supercute template made by Deneen. It is just so perfect for a little boy, don't you think?

I printed the template, cut it out and used some turquoise cardstock by Papicolor to trace the template on. after cutting that one out, I folded it and attached some patterned paper to the front of the template(the overall-side). The patterned paper I've used is by Crate Paper and is from the North Pole collection, called "Scarf".

To pimp up this little overall, I used some turquoise buttons and with the turquoise card stock I made some little rims/hems on the legs and a two little pockets. I've also added some faux stitching, using my white gel pen to give it a more finished look. And to give the T-shirt a bit more dimension, I lightly sponged the edges and the collar, but I don't know if that shows up in the pictures...

For my mother, I altered this cute little heartshaped box. Inside I made a kind of booklet, also heartshaped of course. The booklet was about her gift of course;-)

I used different kinds of papers and embellishments and loved doing something different then a card :-)

A giraffe for a little boy...

Not really much spare time lately, busy at school. So another simple card this time. It's a card for my nephew Roel, the little brother of Iris from the other post. I used a lovely digi- image by
Melissa Jenkins and the sentiment is also made by her. Both I cut out with my Nestabilities.

I colored the little giraffe and sentiment with my Promarkers and used another set of textile letters and a cute button. I think it's just a cute card for a little boy of 5 years old, who loves giraffes most;-)

Aren't you loving those? I came up with the idea after watching this video on YouTube. I thought...well, why not try it with my border punch? It worked and I made you another tutorial!

Tutorial 1-Clouds on background

For one of my projects, I made a background with fluffy clouds. Lins asked me how I did this, so I added two tutorials. One in Dutch/Nederlands and one in English.

Voor één van mijn projecten heb ik deze achtergrond met wolkjes gemaakt. Lins vroeg me hoe ik dit gedaan had, dus hierbij 2 tutorials, in het Nederlands en in het Engels.

A very cool idea...

This week I swapped some stamped images and embellishments with some lovely ladies (Inge, Mariska and Christa). I saw this very cool idea at the blog of Martine and I just had to try it. She also has put an tutorial about it on her blog, so it is really easy to follow. I resized it a bit to fit also the embellishments and of course I pimped it my own way hahaha. So this is what they looked like:

I used some aqua cardstock by Papercolor as a base and used a patterned paper from a block from the Action. The upper flap I matted with some dark blue cardstock on which I stamped some flowers with opaque StazOn ink. It is so easy to make yourself some patterned paper like that and so much fun!

The stamp I used is also one of my newest stamps I bought at the Art Specially fair and it is by Penny Black, called "can't help it". Such an adorable image! I colored it with my colored pencils, cut it out with my nestabillities and matted it on some light aqua cardstock.

When it it was completely dry I filled it with some nice stamped images and a little bag which I filled with some cute embellishments. The postman already delivered them, so I can place them now;-)

Hello creative bloggers!

My little niece had her birthday this week and I made her this card. I found it rather hard, because she is 7 years old now. Sooooo..what to make for a girl her age? This is what I came up with....

Ik kept it a bit basic, because I wanted to use those cute fabric letters for her name. And of course the colors pink and purple, she really loves those!

The image is "for ewe" by Wild Rose Studio and one of my newest stamps I bought at the Art Specially fair. I colored it with some colored pencils and sponged the edges a bit while it was still in the die.

At last I just added a cute dotted ribbon and a fabric button with cupcakes.

Afdrukjes ruilen?

Hoihoi allemaal!

Ik heb in de afgelopen maanden en aantal keer een afdrukjesruil gedaan en dit vond ik zo leuk, dat ik dacht...waarom niet wat vaker?! Buiten een postzegel hoeft het je niet eens zoveel te kosten en het is zo'n leuk gevoel als zo'n envelopje in je brievenbus valt en je je nieuwsgierig afvraagt wat voor moois er in dat envelopje zit....En het geeft je ook eens de kans om met stempeltjes te werken, die je zelf niet hebt!

Mijn idee is dus als volgt: lijkt het jou leuk om met mij afdrukjes te ruilen? Stuur me dan even een mailtje(debbie.stip@gmail.com) en dan wisselen we wat gegevens uit om dit mogelijk te maken!

Oh en voor een beetje duidelijkheid, ik kan met Memento of StazOn stempelen....

Vintage Cute???

Some days ago, Nicole challenged us to make a cute vintage card. Well it is my first attempt ever for something vintage looking...don't really know yet what to think about it, but I really loved messing around and thought "well, why not give it a go?" So this is my result:

For the base of the card I used some yellowish creamy cardstock, which I sponged with Rich Cocoa Memento ink and a template made with my new punch. The other layers of papers I distressed with some sanding paper and some Distress inks.

I colored the image with Zig Art&Graphic markers. These are water based, so I used them to watercolor my image. I cut it out with my Nestabillities and gave it a distressed look with some brown inks.

For the flower I punched out some circles, which I distressed with some brown and pink inks and I crumbled/creased(?) them by hand to give them a more vintage look. The center of the flower is a charm of which I cut the eye hook thingy(?)..

And of course I had to use my new EK Succes Punch again to put a little edge of interest behind my image!

Art Specially Zeist

This weekend I went to the Art Specially Event in Zeist. Yesterday it was a really horrible busy day and I was glad I could only stay for a few hours, but today it was a really lovely day. Just enough people to check out every little thing and stand at your own pace, without the pushing and tripping from the day before... And there was even enough time to chat with Nicole, what was really nice!

It really was a nice event, with lots of lovely stamps and stuff, so of course I had to buy some ;-) This is what I bought:

Really looking forward making lots of beautiful cards and stuff with all of this!

Challenge Little Red Wagon

Wednesday I made this Thank You-card for Yvonne, for giving me such a great candy and tutorial on how to dress/finish up my flowers. This time I used a sketch from the challenge blog called Little Red Wagon. It just caught my eye, so I had to make ik hahaha....

I used dark brown cardstock and some aqua cardstock that I ran through my Cuttlebug with a Texture Plate by Fiskars, called Paws. Used a lovely stamped image,that I got in a swap with Linsey and added a label, made with the Thank You stamp by Hero Arts. Pinned that down with a lovely flower brad onto my ribbon(Xenos) and added that ribbon to my card. Loved doing things a bit different than I am used to :-)

Monday I made a get well soon-card:

I used this adorable image from Karen Doodles. I colored it with my Promarkers and sponged it with some Versamagic Key Lime. It was a card for a man, so besides a very cheerful background paper, I wanted it to be much more 'clean' and I think that it worked out, but please tell me what you think!

An Easter Swap

Totally forgotten....Some time ago I made this little birthday card for a friend at school:

I really love this amazing patterned paper by Websters Pages, it really is one of my favorites right now. I picked out also one of my favorite birthday stamps by Penny Black and colored it with my colored pencils. Then I cut and embossed it with my nesties, and while it was still in the die, I sponged it with some pink ink to match with my papers. Of course some lovely dotted ribbon and a little flower. I think it turned out really sweet....

I made a card for a friend who really needed some love. This is what it turned out to be:

I used a Magnolia image that was sent to me by mail some while ago. Isnt he lovely? I colored him with my Promarkers and cut him out with my nestabilities. The patterned paper with little hearts I made myself, using my cuttlebug and a Fiskars Texture Plate. I first inked some white cardstock with DriedMarigold Distress Ink and then ran it through my cuttlebug with the Fiskars Plate. After it was nicely embossed with those little hearts, I softly ran my Worn Lipstick Distress Ink over it to accent those hearts.'

The striped paper is from a cheap paperpad from probably the Action, don't know for sure anymore ;-)

And of course I had to add some ribbon, a nice tag and some buttons as extra's to finish it off...

WHOOHOOO...I won this lovely, beautiful, supersuper great candy over at the blog of Yvonne!! I'm so totally surprised! It's my first candy I won and isn't it such a great Easter gift? Doing a little dance now...

Will be making lots of lovely things with it, that's for sure! I'll keep you posted ;-)
